Pafos Chef
Heating Instructions
All Pafos Chef meals are freshly cooked, chilled and packed to protect their quality and freshness.
Depending on the dish, your food may arrive:
- directly vacuum packed in a food-grade pouch;
- in a carton or PET container inside a vacuum bag;
- or, for soups, in a food-grade PET bottle.
In short: take off all the outer vacuum packaging and any PET lid, tip pouch-packed food into a dish, and heat only the portion you're about to eat until it's hot throughout. Soups: pour out of the bottle first — never heat the bottle itself.
Before Heating
- Keep food refrigerated until needed.
- Remove all outer vacuum packaging before heating.
- If food is packed directly in a pouch, open it and transfer the food to a suitable dish.
- Remove PET lids before heating.
- Heat only the portion you intend to eat.
- Heat until hot throughout.
Microwave
Best for: Rice, pasta, curries, stews, vegetables and most complete meals.
- Remove the vacuum bag.
- Remove PET lids.
- Transfer pouch-packed food to a microwave-safe dish.
- Heat for approximately 2–3 minutes.
- Stir or turn where appropriate.
- Continue in short intervals if needed.
Air Fryer
Best for: Chicken, patties, falafel, potato wedges and roasted vegetables.
- Remove all packaging.
- Transfer food to the basket or an air-fryer-safe tray.
- Heat at 160–180°C for approximately 5–10 minutes.
- Turn or check halfway through.
- Do not place vacuum bags, PET containers, lids or carton containers in the air fryer.
Oven
Best for: Moussaka, lasagna, baked dishes, meats and larger portions.
- Remove all packaging.
- Transfer food to an oven-safe dish.
- Heat at approximately 160–170°C until hot throughout.
- Cover with foil if needed to prevent drying.
- For crispier dishes, heat uncovered.
Special Heating Notes
Moussaka and Lasagna
- From fridge temperature: place in a cold oven, set to 170°C and heat for approximately 12–15 minutes.
- From room temperature: place in a preheated oven at 170°C and heat for approximately 6 minutes.
Salmon
- Salmon is best heated gently.
- For best results, remove the salmon from the fridge and allow it to come closer to room temperature before heating — only if you are going to consume it within the next hour.
- The best method is gentle microwave heating from room temperature.
- Heat for a short time only. Do not overheat, as salmon can easily become overcooked and dry.
- It is better to heat salmon slightly less and check it, rather than heating it too much at once.
Keto Chicken and Pork Roulade
- For the best texture, heat the Keto Chicken and Pork Roulade in the air fryer.
- Air fryer: 180°C for 4–6 minutes.
- Oven: 180°C for 4–6 minutes in a preheated oven.
- Do not overheat, as the roulade is already cooked and only needs to be warmed through.
Soups
Our soups arrive in food-grade PET bottles.
Stovetop (recommended)
- Remove the cap.
- Pour into a saucepan.
- Heat gently, stirring occasionally.
Microwave
- Pour into a microwave-safe bowl.
- Heat in intervals, stirring between each one.
Warm-water method
- Remove the cap.
- Stand the bottle upright in hot, not boiling, water.
- Keep the water below the bottle opening.
- Warm gradually.
Do not place the PET bottle directly in the microwave, oven, air fryer or on the stovetop.
Cold Items
- Salads, dips and other cold dishes should be kept refrigerated and not reheated.
Important
- Keep food refrigerated until needed.
- Do not reheat the same food repeatedly.
- Heating times are guidelines and may vary by appliance and portion size.
- Do not use food if the packaging is damaged, leaking, unusually swollen, or if the food appears or smells abnormal.
Our Packaging
We use vacuum packaging and modified-atmosphere technology where appropriate.
The packaging may vary from dish to dish, but the purpose is always the same: to protect freshness, flavour, texture and quality from our kitchen to the customer’s refrigerator.
A note on freshness
Our weekly meal deliveries ended on 2 November 2026. Meals from the last delivery keep refrigerated for 7 days — eat them by Monday 9 November. Never reheat a meal more than once.
